Alan Chew
holds both the Advanced Certificate in Violin from ABRSM and the
ATCL Diploma in Violin Recital from the Trinity College of Music,
London.
He has been
playing the violin since age 4 and was the youngest player in
the People’s Association Orchestra, under the baton of Mr
Kam Kee Yong. He has also performed with the Nanyang Technological
University String Ensemble.
On
top of his violin qualifications, he has studied piano and theory
with Mr Victor Doggett, a renowned pianist who has contributed greatly
to the classical scene in Singapore.
Alan
has an energetic personality and students find him to be patient
and approachable. Outside of his teaching schedule, he finds time
to pursue his other passion – dancing salsa.
