Mr. Yong Chee Ong also holds several other diplomas in music,
performance and teaching.
These are namely, the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music,
London, in Violin Performance (LRSM), Licentiate of the Guildhall
School of Music and Drama, London, in Violin Performance (LGSMD),
Diploma in Music from LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore
(Dip.Mus) and a Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools
of Music, London, in Violin Teaching (Dip.ABRSM Teaching).
In
1992 and 1995, Yong Chee Ong represented Singapore in the Asian
Youth Orchestra (AYO) (The Asian Youth Orchestra was founded by
Yehudi Menuhin and Richard Pontzious. Inaugural concerts were

Yong
Chee Ong worked under conductors such as Lukas Foss (1992) and
Sergui Comissiona (1995) in concert tours of Asia and USA. In
the AYO of 1995, he studied the violin under Mary Lou Churchill
(2nd Violin Principal of the Boston Symphony Orchestra). In 1993,
he represented Singapore once again in the ASEAN Youth Music Workshop
and Orchestra in Brunei Darussalam.
